A pair of feet sticking out of a rolled-up carpet - believed to be a body - turned out to be a mannequin dressed as Prince Charming.

The suspicious object, spotted on the M11 motorway, prompted a call to Cambridgeshire Police, who were deployed to track down the car.

When they found the vehicle, they were told by the driver that he was taking the dummy to a themed birthday party.

Cambridgeshire Police said: "When we received a call on Saturday lunchtime to reports a vehicle was travelling along the M11 with a pair of feet poking out the end of a rolled up piece of carpet, alarm bells were naturally ringing for the informant and our control room.

"We managed to track the vehicle down in Angel Drove, Ely where our officers discovered there were indeed a pair of feet... belonging to a mannequin dressed as Prince Charming who was on his way to a themed birthday."

The force said the driver was given advice "to avoid such circumstances again".

It added: "Thankfully this was a false alarm."

**It sounds like a money-making scheme that Del Boy Trotter would come up with himself.**

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is imminent and there is money to be made from souvenirs.

But, like many of the ideas devised by Peckham's finest, a vital detail scuppers the deal.

A Chinese manufacturer made 10,800 tea cups, mugs and plates to mark the Queen's 70-year reign.

The only problem was the inscription.

Below a picture of Her Majesty are the words: "To commemorate the Platinum Jubbly of Queen Elizabeth II."

Given that one of Del Boy's favourite phrases is "lovely jubbly", the items, for sale on a clearance website, are now being touted as perfect for fans of both the Queen and Only Fools and Horses.

Wholesale Clearance UK, which sells unwanted stock in bulk, has picked up the collection.

It comments on its website: "You will notice this is probably more at home on the shelf next to Peckham Spring (Del Boy's bottled water which glowed yellow in the dark) as these are in fact celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubbly.

"These are... as you say... the Creme de la Menthe! So if you are a fan of the Queen and Del Boy... two birds with one stone."

Andy White, from the company based in Poole, Dorset, said it was a "bit of fun".

He added: "I think the online trader rejected the items pretty much straightaway, but, in hindsight, with the exposure it's getting, they're probably wishing they didn't. Their loss will be someone else's gain."

The website adds: "If you close your eyes, you can almost hear those immortal words from Britain's favourite businessman ringing through the halls of Nelson Mandela House.

"But in typical Only Fools manner, this isn't exactly as expected."

The stock is for sale as a bulk lot for £32,400.

Jack Sweeney, 19, turned down an initial offer of $5k to shut down the @ElonJet account, saying the payment wouldn't replace the satisfaction he received from running it.

The University of Florida student described himself to Business Insider as a fan of Mr Musk and said he had created the bot as it "would reveal what business is going on and where he is going".

Mr Sweeney has launched similar accounts tracking the planes of Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. The accounts state that they track the aircraft, not who may or may not be onboard.

The student also has a part-time job with a company called UberJets, which tracks chartered flights and allows its customers to identify cheap seats.

Mr Sweeney shared a direct message from Mr Musk, in which the tycoon said: "Can you take this down? It is a security risk."

"I don't love the idea of being shot by a nutcase," he adds.

Eventually, Mr Musk said: "How about $5k for this account and generally helping make it harder for crazy people to track me?"

As this point, the teenager tried to upsell: "Any chance to up that to $50k? It would be great support in college and would possibly allow me to get a car, maybe even a Model 3."

The billionaire eventually declined, explaining it didn't feel right to pay to shut down the account, but Mr Sweeney said that advice he had shared about protecting the jet's identifying number appeared to have been adopted.

The teenager said he had made the correspondence public to try to reopen negotiations with Mr Musk, whether for an increase on the initial monetary offer or an internship.

Frozen's Let It Go, Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On, and Barry Manilow's greatest hits have all been used to annoy protesters in New Zealand. However, the demonstrators have responded with their own songs.

New Zealand authorities have turned to the music of James Blunt in their latest musical effort to move protesters camped outside parliament.

The demonstrators, who are angry about COVID-19 vaccine mandates, were initially bombarded with Barry Manilow's greatest hits - plus the 1990s dance tune Macarena - all played on a loop from one of parliament's loudspeakers.

But on Saturday evening UK time, British musician Blunt tweeted an offer of help.

Sharing a news story about the protesters being blasted with the sounds of Manilow, he wrote: "Give me a shout if this doesn't work @NZPolice".

A few hours later, it appeared his offer had been accepted, with the star's most famous hit You're Beautiful being played over the loudspeaker.

Protesters seemed undeterred, however, singing other songs over the hit, and dancing in the rain.

The protests in New Zealand began on Tuesday when a convoy of vehicles arrived at Wellington's parliament buildings, adopting the name Convoy For Freedom and blocking some of the city's streets.

Numbers dwindled on Wednesday but increased again over the weekend.

The protesters have been inspired by similar rallies in Canada but their list of grievances has expanded to include general dissatisfaction with Jacinda Ardern's government.

On Thursday police said they had arrested 122 people, charging many with trespassing or obstruction.

Authorities turned to music after the use of water sprinklers failed to dislodge the protesters.

The loudspeakers have also played Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On, the Frozen hit Let It Go, and viral children's song Baby Shark, as well as COVID vaccine messages.

Lockdowns and border closures have kept COVID-19 death and infection rates very low in New Zealand.

Some 94% of those aged 12 and over have had two doses of a COVID vaccine, but there has been anger about rules requiring widespread use of vaccine passes.
